*Mary FitzRoy, Duchess of Richmond and Somerset (née Lady Mary Howard; 1519–1557), was the only daughter-in-law of King Henry VIII of England, being the wife of his only acknowledged illegitimate son, Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset
* Frances Howard, Duchess of Richmond (1578–1639), one of the great beauties and the only duchess at the court of James I of England, she was also the patron of Captain John Smith of the Virginia Colony
* Mary Stewart, Duchess of Richmond (née Lady Mary Villiers; (1622–1685)
* Frances Stewart, Duchess of Richmond (1647–1702), a famous restoration beauty who refused to become the mistress of Charles II
